After years of connecting readers with used books and media through online marketplaces, North America Trader, LLC is embarking on an exciting new journey—one that brings together four decades of professional photography expertise with the dynamic world of real estate and education.
The Evolution
When I started North America Trader, the mission was simple: provide quality used books and media to customers through Amazon and eBay. We built a reputation for reliability, fast shipping, and excellent customer service. But as markets evolved and my professional interests shifted, it became clear that the future lay in a different direction.
Photography has been my passion for 40 years. From wildlife and sports to nature and landscapes, I’ve captured over 100,000 photographs and witnessed the complete evolution from film to digital. That expertise, combined with deep construction industry knowledge gained from growing up in a contractor family, pointed toward a natural convergence: real estate photography.
Introducing TriSky Media
TriSky Media is our professional real estate photography business, serving Monmouth, Middlesex, and Somerset Counties in New Jersey. We provide comprehensive media services for real estate professionals, including:
- Professional real estate photography
- Aerial drone photography and videography
- Virtual twilight and day-to-dusk conversions
- Virtual staging
- Professional headshots for realtors
- Construction documentation
- 3D virtual tours
What sets TriSky Media apart is the foundation: 40 years of photographic expertise, FAA Part 107 drone certification, professional-grade Nikon equipment (D850, D800E), and genuine understanding of construction and property. This isn’t a side hustle or weekend hobby—it’s a professional operation built on decades of excellence.
Launching TriSky Academy
But we’re not stopping there. TriSky Academy represents our commitment to education and knowledge sharing in the real estate photography industry.
Too many photography courses are taught by people who haven’t shot a paying client in years. TriSky Academy is different. I’m actively building a six-figure real estate photography business right now, in real-time, documenting every challenge, system, and success along the way.
TriSky Academy will offer:
- Comprehensive training courses covering technical skills, business systems, and client acquisition
- Real-world case studies from actual shoots and client interactions
- Equipment and technology guides based on hands-on experience
- Business blueprints that work in today’s competitive market
- One-on-one mentorship for photographers serious about entering real estate
- Free educational resources to help aspiring photographers get started
The academy launches in late 2026, giving me time to build a proven track record and documented systems that actually work.
Why This Matters
You might be wondering: why share this transition publicly?
Transparency. The photography industry—especially real estate photography—is filled with people selling courses based on outdated information or limited experience. By documenting my journey from day one, from the first client to the hundredth property, I’m building credibility through action, not just claims.
Authenticity. I’m 40 years into my photography career, transitioning from established expertise in one area (wildlife, sports, nature) to a new application (real estate). That perspective—experienced professional entering a new market—is valuable. I’m not a 25-year-old with two years of experience selling a course. I’m bringing four decades of proven excellence to a new challenge.
Community. There are photographers everywhere considering this same transition. Sharing the real story—mistakes, pivots, successes, failures—helps others make informed decisions about their own careers.
What Happens to North America Trader?
North America Trader, LLC remains the legal parent company of both TriSky Media and TriSky Academy. The infrastructure, business foundation, and years of operation continue—just redirected toward more aligned ventures.
We’re winding down the used books and media business throughout 2026, allowing us to focus 100% on building TriSky Media into a $200,000+ revenue business while simultaneously developing TriSky Academy’s educational content.
The LLC isn’t going anywhere. It’s just evolving.
The 30-in-30 Challenge
Starting December 31st, 2025, I’m documenting an intensive launch experience: shooting 30 properties in 30 consecutive days. This challenge serves multiple purposes:
- Portfolio building – Creating a substantial body of work quickly
- System refinement – Testing workflows, equipment, and processes under pressure
- Client relationships – Establishing reputation in the Central New Jersey real estate market
- Content creation – Documenting every lesson learned for TriSky Academy
I’m blogging about every single property at triskyacademy.com/blog, sharing technical decisions, client interactions, business lessons, and honest assessments of what works and what doesn’t.
This isn’t theory. This is happening right now.
Looking Forward
2026 is our transition year:
- Q1-Q2: Complete 30-in-30 challenge, establish TriSky Media operations
- Q3: Scale TriSky Media client base, refine business systems
- Q4: Begin TriSky Academy content development
By 2027, we’ll operate two thriving businesses under the North America Trader umbrella:
- TriSky Media providing premium real estate photography services
- TriSky Academy educating the next generation of real estate photographers
